| Bangladesh’s fifth Test tour. (May - First Test-playing tour
of South Africa by Bangladesh (no previous tour) | The
selectors dropped Mohammad Ashruful who had made a century on debut in his
first Test appearance against Sri
Lanka only a year before. Senior players were also dropped after poor
performances. On
the field, however, the Bangladeshis were overwhelmed by a South African team
far too strong in all departments. Occasional defiance from Al-Shahriar and
