Test Cricket Tours - England to Bangladesh 2009-10

Tour of Bangladesh 2009-10                    Captain :  Alastair Cook

England’s 98th Test tour.

(February-March 2010)

Second Test-playing tour of Bangladesh by England

  (previous tour  2003-04)

England had been to Bangladesh only once before but this time the hosts made far stronger opposition than in 2003-04 despite the impression that may be given by the 0-3 and 0-2 results.

In the first Test at Chittagong Bangladesh fought back extremely well and at Mirpur gave England a difficult session as Tamim Iqbal blazed a score

Before the Test matches  England had played a pair of T20 matches against Pakistan in the UAE and in a one-day series against Bangladesh
