Tour Party Announced : 18 August 1995.

Withdrawal :   Dipak Patel withdrew with an achilles tendon injury on 20 September and was replaced by Mark Haslam.  Simon Doull withdrew from the team which would play the preparatory matches in northern Australia. He was allowed to remain in England to finish his commitments to a Yorkshire league team, and Geoff Allott took his place.

The New Zealand team for India, plus Allott, Astle and McMillan, flew out to Australia on 11 September and spent two weeks in Darwin playing six limited overs matches becoming acclimatised to hotter weather. On 26 September they returned to New Zealand for a few days.

The touring party to India and coach Glenn Turner left Auckland on 1 October and arrived in Bombay on 2 October after an exhausting 30-hour journey. After three days of nets at Brabourne Stadium, they left for Rajkot on 6 October.

The New Zealanders attended an ICNET-sponsored Kirmani felicitation function before leaving for home from Bombay the next morning, 30 November 1995. The team arrived at Auckland Airport on 1 December
